Break gets a visit from some Mini Donks!

Miniature Donkeys for Wellbeing came to Break's head office.

The 29th of August 2019 was a very exciting day for everyone at Break, as Miniature Donkeys for Wellbeing paid us a visit! We met four of their minidonks – Pixie, Pippin, Bo Peep, and Millie.

Miniature Donkeys for Wellbeing visit a number of community groups and voluntary organisations, as well as being available for private events. They recognise the positive effect animals can have on people – be it people with dementia or special needs, or people that just want a cuddle with a donkey! Interacting with such a friendly and gentle animal can have such a mood boosting effect - it was lovely to see everyone having such a nice time with the donks!

Not only did the donkeys come to see the Break team here in the office, but some of our young people also came along to say hello.

The miniature donkeys really brightened everybody’s day – thank you so much to all their lovely staff and volunteers, and we hope to see the donkeys again soon!

Head to www.minidonks.org.uk/ to find out more about the work Miniature Donkeys for Wellbeing do. They also have a Facebook page where you can keep up to date with what the donkeys are up to.
